We wanted to thank you all for donating to our Snowdon Hike. We raised just over £2500 for Macmillan and St Nicholas Hospice.
We set off at midnight on Saturday/Sunday and reached the summit of Snowdon at 04:01. We encountered very strong winds of 35+mph, rain and fog but it certainly was worth every step for such a great cause. It was so special to see the sunrise during our descent and whilst the sun rose, we raised a brandy to our late colleague, Nick – a truly special moment.
We were extremely fortunate to have been in the first wave to ascend as due to the high winds, all groups behind were turned around and unable to summit. It was a wonderful experience and we were all proud to have been able to raise money for the charities who cared for Nick Spicer. Again thank you for your support. Steve & the Apex Belting Ltd team
