Apex are the East Anglian main distributor for Flexco and Mato Fasteners.

Our wide range of mechanical fasteners are suited for all industries, both heavy and light-duty. From galvanised and antimagnetic stainless steel for our food quality belts to high tensile staple fasteners for recycling and waste handling, our team will always endeavour to provide additional parts or replacements.

Drum Lagging

We supply drum lagging as a useful spare part to the conveyor belts to improve the tracking, increase the belt grip. The diamond pattern on the surface is used for water dispersal and to reduce material build-up. The addition of our 2-part adhesive assists with bonding to steel. The sheet pulley lagging can be applied as a single sheet and is designed for use on both drive and non-drive pulleys. We stock at 8mm and 10mm thicknesses and self-adhesive lagging for food quality.

Adhesives

Apex are the UK distributor for Helmitin glue
Helmitin 14030 adhesive, the premier two-part contact adhesive for the rubber industry. Used for joining and repairing rubber conveyor belts and lining steel containers. Supplied along with Swift Hardener.
SwiftPrime 2903, the solvent-based primer, ideal for preparation in bonding rubber.
Plastopang and Activator, the two-part cold-bonding cement, ideal for use in PVC fabrication, for use in bonding V-guides, cleats and sidewalls.

Rubber Sheets and Matting

Apex stocks many grades of sheeting, these grades are used for many applications, including; gaskets, seals, chute lining and conveyor skirts.

Our range of sheeting grades offer excellent tensile strength, abrasion resistance and tear strength. Our TT60 skirt rubber can operate at up to 70 degrees and we also offer self-extinguishing rubber, that operates at above 80 degrees.

Rollers

We supply an extensive range of rollers for our belts, including drive and tail rollers, return rollers and troughing sets in many different sizes.

Cleats, Guides and Sidewalls

We offer our belts fitted with moulded cleats at various pitches and heights in PU and PVC. We also supply tracking guides that can be notched on request for use when conveying products on longer, narrower belts.

Rubber Sidewalls

Our sidewalls are ideal for heavy-duty industries, such as recycling, as they can handle bulk materials on steep inclines. Our cleats can be moulded onto any rubber base belt, including fabric back and oil-resistant materials.

Soft Landing Material

Our hard-wearing soft landing material has non self-adhesive padding, easy to bond using standard adhesive, reduces noise level and is easy to clean and maintain. These are stocked in 10mm thick rolls and smaller rolls are available.

Pintle Rubber

Our pintle material comes in 4 different types. We stock and supply at 12mm high for potato harvesting, 45mm high for grading of produce and 30mm high for crop cleaning. The NR rubber material is water resistant, durable and flexible with the ability to hold multiple different materials.

Type 1 is 12mm high and generally used in agriculture, potato harvesting, bulb sorting, etc. and stocked in 25m rolls
Type 2 is 45mm high and great for conveying easily damaged products. The flexibility of the Pintle cushions the product when it lands and holds it in position, which make it perfect for optical graders.
Type 3 & 4 are 30mm high and used in the agricultural sector for crop cleaning and for trash – top removers
